From the desk of Suzana Leslie

Clients have, over the years, come to me for expertise and have engaged me to assist with the development of their own internal strategy; including presentations, client specific product implementation, and assisting in finding the optimal way to integrate our product(s) within their own departmental workflows.

To me, the thing that has strengthened my client relationships and built so much trust over the years is having the ability and expertise to fully engage with the client and fully understand their business needs, and internal workflow. I have had the opportunity to engage, at the executive level, with most insurance companies in Canada for the last nine years – and each new experience brings new understanding.


Suzana joined Opta as VP of Business Development in 2013, after spending more than 20 years in the insurance industry.  Suzana has in depth knowledge of all relevant aspects of the insurance industry including: underwriting, workflow, budgetary concerns, and implementation challenges.  In her various positions as Director of Corporate  Accounts, Account Executive, Underwriting Specialist, and Product Analyst, she has gained extensive expertise in Customer Relations, Problem Solving, Leadership, Decision Making, Business Management, Strategic Planning, and Negotiation. She holds her Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional designation and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics from University of Western Ontario.
